It's very interesting to see what a left-center party can do when it decides to focus on beating the far right instead of blaming the left for everything.

It’s pretty alarming how the reporters suddenly devoted to watchdogging Biden can’t tell the difference between real drastic glitches like in the debate and normal fumbling
ARISE, MY FRIENDS
I have FUCKING FINALLY returned to my project of adapt MANOS: THE HANDS OF FATE into an actual serious albeit very melodramatic horror novel, and for a mere $1 a month you can read all of it as it happens
Poor Torgo, he’s never had a good day www.patreon.com/posts/107555...
We’re watching “Night at the Museum 2,” and my son saw a figure of Anubis and said “The Statue of Liberty!”
I went to correct and then realized it was an intriguing alternate history idea. Even if Tim Burton kind of did it already.
This is the tradcath weirdo whom the @nytimes.com is publishing to tell you not to vote.
You should not listen to him. Instead, you should shove his ass into a locker and burn the entire campus containing said locker to the ground. (The campus is Hillsdale)
I never have drawings to share on #WerewolfWednesday because I’m a writer, but: I’m about 50 pages into editing my werewolf novel and I’m getting into a favorite part- where some werewolves of wealth and taste are introduced and some of the themes of the story start to emerge.
Pack it in, pack it out. #Werewolves know how to dispose of trash.
Just a fun #WerewolfWednesday sign from your friends at the FPSDOL, which does not condone #werewolf violence in any form. Probably.
Frankly this is something I’m working on. I’m doing pretty well in representation terms with this book but I haven’t worked this part out yet.

[Okay, I cheated by one word. I'm riding that summary as far as it will take me.]

So here we are with #HorrorWritersChat question 1:
Here we go with question 1: Introduce yourself: tell us who you are and sum up your current horror WIP in six words or fewer
P.S. Don't forget the tag!
A saw a post that was specifically comparing Victorian mansions with new glass-and-concrete ones and it's like the worst possible comparison for this. Victorian houses were so badly built that the "falling apart/haunted Victorian mansion" became a trope in literature like 30 years after their heyday
Yep, it's that day again!
#HorrorWritersChat comes at you at 7pm UK time, 2pm Eastern for North America.
Four questions about you and your horror work.
July is Disability Pride Month. That's the theme for this week's questions.
Long after Halloween, we tossed this pumpkin out on our lawn to let nature do its thing. We now have a pumpkin vine growing on the (aggressively neglected) lawn, and we are very excited!
Welcome to my new followers! As we say farewell to Halloween, I wanted to show off my pumpkin, which is themed on my manuscript in progress. Thanks to my amazing wife for volunteering to paint the werewolf.
i think we should see the Trump v. United States ruling as a group of Republican apparatchiks taking their opportunity to vindicate Nixon and write the unitary executive into the Constitution. www.nytimes.com/2024/07/02/o...
It’s impossible to separate these bad anti-Biden takes from the fact that the authors find Biden boring and this Sorkinesque fantasy (or Trump) much more interesting.
This. The Democratic Party does not have the votes to do major reforms right now, but they 100% have the power to do big, messy, public hearings taking the justices to task for their corruption and abuses of power.
There is a famous story about President Grant being cited for speeding while in office. If I understand Roberts’ reasoning, had Grant been speeding while on his way to incite an insurrection, he’d have been immune — and could have shot the officer for his trouble.
Like there's a lot they were not especially clear about, and all sorts of reasons where we shouldn't tie our own future to their past. But "Kings are bad; the President is not a King; he must be constrained by law" is one of the few things they were, to their credit, very clear about
I sort of enjoy that they keep inventing new Greek letter guys because it accidentally points out how silly the alpha/beta male thing has always been.
Also is Gamma Guy David Bowie? I think they only made one one those.
