if Trump is trying in the open to make the US economy worse for Biden before the election, what is he telling his ally MBS about oil production in secret?
The scene in Twister when they’re driving away from the storm but instead, Helen Hunt tells Bill to stop because she doesn’t like the truck they’re using.
Let’s grant everything in the article (I don’t). We’re left with 2 options. What’s that second word after “Blue” in the headlines? Where does that word come from? Is the word “Blue” bad, or is that second word the pejorative? Is the “Blue” version worse or not? Wish these questions were considered.
First I’m seeing anything like this from him and I’m debating just wiping it from my memory. I’ll reread the article to make sure but it seems like it’s missing context.
The Founders anticipated all of this, and that is why they buried throughout the constitution various secret hints and rules that would, centuries later, make it illegal to notice or get mad when a powerful and extremely dumb guy repeatedly commits obvious oafish political crimes.
In all seriousness: the very idea that someone can take highly classified documents, store them in a public place, defy any number of requests, subpoenas, etc., and then face NO CONSEQUENCES AT ALL is genuinely shocking, and should terrify anyone who cares about national security.
Good points by y’all.
I wish we could all skip to the conversation around: even if the fool was XYZ, does this mean we have to (a) harm other people or (b) that we’ve ’gotta hand it to’ Republicans? (No & No). Labeling doesn’t seem worth it either way. The act was bad; still gotta beat them in Nov.
Chiming in to say that’s definitely something that stopped me in my tracks as I read. I have considered that before, but definitely need reminding on that front. Good take.

the want a race where printing "EMAILS EMAILS EMAILS" can affect the outcome, because then they can become kingmaker and a President won't ever deny them interviews again
Cliche but bears repeating - contact with others helps this! All factors held (availability, health, etc.), that one trick just makes you (a) less inclined to say *the worst* to someone and (b) more uncomfortable with the prospect of it being said to you. Bonus, those two reinforce each other.
This is like watching infighting among performing arts students, over their lines or what have you, while The Bully crams each one into a locker, one by one.
*me yelling at my neighbor* “Why do you always bring that up whenever I roll through a yellow light??”
*neighbor whose house I ran into with my car* “It doesn’t seem like you’ve internalized the lesson!”
Full quote from ex-ICE director Tom Homan: "Trump comes back in January... I will run the biggest deportation force this country has ever seen. They ain’t seen shit yet. Wait until 2025.”
Tonight in Florida Trump pledged to bring Homan back.
Homan, BTW, is a listed Project 2025 contributor.
