Pointing again at my US Blue State Challenge. If you live in a "blue state", pick the red state you hate the most and the issue you care about the most and find a group in that state working on that issue and support them.

One thing I don’t understand is why, when people are outraged by some injustice or affront — like book bans — they don’t first look to see who is already tracking the issue, who’s already working on education + organization. “We need to do something!” People *are*. Find them. Help them.

My doc arranged things to let me get two painful procedures usually done in-office done at the same time as another one that required GA and outpatient surgery, and you'd best believe that I JUMPED at that chance. She is the first to say that Tylenol ain't gonna cut it.

Tonight I saw Kim Gordon, Jenny Lewis, and Brittany Howard and it was entirely worth sitting outside when it was 90 degrees at 9 PM. (With water and electrolytes, granted.)

Once the Caps and all my usual playoff bandwagon teams were out, I decided to hop on the Edmonton bandwagon. I am not regretting it. Reverse sweep? Fingers crossed.
