Here's the thing. If a bunch of rich people manage to bully the party into kicking out the *elected candidate* and replace him with literally anyone and we go into the election with a person chosen by a bunch of rich people that nobody had a chance to vote for our democracy is already dead.

Agenda47 would basically outlaw gender affirming care for everyone (all ages). Any hospital or healthcare provider that offers gender affirming care would be terminated from Medicare and Medicaid. We'd lose access to HRT, surgeries, etc. Please vote!

The fact that people are even talking about a completely new ticket is insane. Giving up every last shred of incumbency advantage and removing your ability to talk about the achievements of the last administration just so you can run Gavin Fucking Newsom, what are we doing here.

Also still wondering why no medical press conference. That would normally be standard.
Anybody else still curious about the cause and nature of Trump’s injury, where the three victims were seated, and why Donald was allowed to stand & pose for photos, fist pumping for nearly ten seconds while asking about his shoe when there could easily have been other shooters?

If you ever want to understand why the privacy rationale for abortion and contraception is more important and vital than ever, this is it.
JD Vance opposes the Biden Admin rule barring law enforcement from having access to your medical records about reproductive health (menstrual cycles, endometriosis, miscarriages, pregnancy, etc.) so that state laws limiting abortion and/or contraception can be enforced against you!

I’m sorry we have an imperfect candidate but maybe if the party nominally opposed to Trump actually opposed Trump instead of turning on itself like a pack of hyenas we could surmount a polling deficit of a couple of points

It is almost as if we need oversight over the judicial system.
An examination of more than 1,200 federal judges and state supreme court justices turned up dozens of judges who chose not to recuse when facing potential appearances of impropriety involving familial financial connections. www.propublica.org/article/judg...

also and I feel like I buried the lede here: it calls for the people who CREATE queer media to be imprisoned. That'd be people like me. Or any other queer creator you love. Any queen who's been on drag race. Chappel Roan. Janelle Monae. Anyone who's made a piece of queer media. Imprisoned.
Psst: Project 2025 is terrifying for a lot of reasons but also because on page 5 it calls for teachers and librarians who grant access to books that are maligned as pornography (which just means anything LGBTQ) to be registered as sex offenders. Pass it on.

I keep remembering that the official Republican solution to gun violence is just... more gun violence. "The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun" means the plan -- the only plan -- is that AFTER the shooting starts, there's more shooting. Prevention isn't even considered.

Institutions work until they don’t. It’s banal but true. Courts as institutions worked when Trump tried to steal the election, but FedSoc has been chipping away at them for decades, and I think it is very rational to doubt they will work any more to restrain an executive.
WSJ this morning. lol at the last bit. "Leaders on both sides need to stop describing the stakes of the election in apocalyptic terms. Democracy won't end if one or the other candidate is elected. Fascism is not aborning if Mr. Trump wins, unless you have little faith in American institutions."
