“What makes you so confident you should be president?” is an actual question a reporter shouted at the incumbent who just warned about a reckless court decision that imperils democracy
Biden turns.
"Kill that person." He motions towards the loud-mouthed reporter while looking at a nearby Secret Service agent.
The reporter gasps.
"Just kidding." Biden says as he turns his back to them and shuffles off, unsure if the agent understood which statement was the joke.
“President Biden rips up 1st amendment by threatening the life of extremely principled and honorable reporter ‘Karl Kramer Kranston’ of Newsmax.”
That’s about how the media would report it.
It would make a point that sorely needs to be underscored, esp if followed by “I wouldn’t do that, but the other guy would, and the SC just empowered him to while you were focusing on this horse race”
Biden gestures silently, and a USSS agent in the crowd instantly garrotes the journalist.
"Biden still struggling with words" writes the NYT correspondent
I do wish he had stuck around long enough to remind her that there were two choices, him or the guy who approved of setting up a gallows to hang his VP.
I'm just glad he said the bit about the gallows in such a big press conference. Because I swear sometimes I almost think I'm crazy for actually remembering what happened that day.
Oh, they’ll die too. They never figure it out until it’s too late but they end up against the wall pretty early when the fascists start doing their thing.
Ugh. I had CNN on, and they at least talked about the speech first about the Court, and then “yeah, we know this is also about Thursday”. Van Jones basically said that will the people see this Joe or Thursday’s Joe, which is a plausible question, and not “POLLS!”
There are many great journalists in this country, but God damned if a large swath of national reporters don't do everything in their power to make Americans hate all of them.
