That being, 10mg cetirizine (Zyrtec) or loratidine (Claritin) and 20mg famotidine (Pepcid) every 12 hours. We don't yet know if single doses right before exposure is protective or if you need a steady blood level. It's also not a perfect preventative, but it's useful defense-in-depth

Something I just saw come up in a TikTok: Folks really do fixate on racist systems being driven by "hate" without ever reckoning or even learning about the many ways those systems economically profited the oppressors. Segregation and Jim Crow and White Riots were all VERY profitable to oppressors.

There is never any shame in using the library, and much benefit in doing so. They are the closest thing to an unmitigated social good that we have in these United States, which is why the hard right is gunning so fervently for them these days. A world without libraries and librarians is a poor one.

My book-buying budget is not what it once was, which is precisely why I’m using the library more. It also gives me the opportunity to read books that I’m not sure I want to add to the home library (not that there’s a lot of room to do that anyway).

I also want to add some context to this from the #VoteRiders website. $35 funds the cost of securing a vital document (such as their ID or birth certificate) for one voter $50 pays for directly contacting 100 voters, targeted because they are likely to need ID help

I just downloaded the current sales sheet to do some quick math, and over the past week y'all have snatched up 2,423 Buy it Now items to raise a collective $53,003. So when we say those $1 and $5 and $10 and $20 items add up, WE ARE NOT JOKING!

A lot of ableism isn't deliberate: that makes it more pernicious! A walker is representing being at lower faculty, by your description. I tweeted this on the other site: "The way walkers are used in media/culture is truly revolting -- & this rep prevents ppl from using what is a useful tool."

Using the walker on the magazine cover is not deliberately ableist. And at some point people are going to have to learn discernment and how to view creative media within the context it’s presented. The walker on the cover is to the point of an elderly person no longer being at full faculty.
