Neil Gaiman, *63yo, insists that his sexual relationship with his live-in nanny,*23, which started on her first night at his home, was consensual. It’s not the 80’s sir. The power imbalance & her dependency on you for employment & housing, make this at a minimum coercive & far from consensual.

As well-meaning publishers try to navigate the coming storm of state laws against diversity, I hope they'll consider Timothy Snyder's Rule #1 (from his slim book ON TYRANNY).

If you're more outraged by the dog than by the explicit racism against Koreans, you need to check yourself. The pervasive disregard for prejudice and discrimination against Asians on this site is gross. We all need to do better

Mississippi is the poorest state in the US. Even though the state gets federal welfare funds, it is difficult to get welfare. The money was all getting stolen, and they got away with it. Now the journalists who exposed the story are facing a lawsuit and jail. www.nbcnews.com/investigatio...

Your best defense against fascism is to organize. Join or form a union if you can. Join or form tenant unions and community orgs. Fascism seeks and uses power through hate and division, and the answer to that is solidarity.

Yesterday I wrote 2400 words. Today? I spent the whole day just figuring out what the scene was. It’s like that sometimes. Not a bad day, just planning vs output. Some days are like that. So if you’re having trouble, remember to go easy on yourself.

Not over. As someone alive before Chevron precedent, before legal abortion, before many things being flipped back in time existed, I can say you can fight this war&win it. Again. &this time, people have sunk costs&reaped benefits where before it was theoretical. They will feel&resent the loss.
The war is over. The bad guys won.

My mother in law has a history of giving us... unexpected gifts. The most recent included a bottle of lab-made absynth called Labsynth, and I decided to try it today, along with those probiotic pills that make alcohol not poison you. It's surprisingly smooth, but the throat burn comes in waves :)

We got tricked by science fiction into thinking a futuristic city is all about flying cars and crystal towers and hologram billboards but what it really looks like is nice apartment blocks, good mass transit, pedestrian zones with shade trees and safe bike lanes.

Okayyyyyy you asked for lots of hard to draw stuff and I made a lot of nightmare fuel from those requests. In the end, we have 3 deep sea creatures that would prefer that we collectively do NOT destroy their homes via deep sea mining. Try recycling maybe, they say.

Cheap sake is deceptively cheap A bit stronger than typical red wines And taste smoother than most liquors even when super cheap And the big cup to little cup thing is cute and fun idk why.

I worked at virgin media for a year. my job was to be given a printed sheet each morning listing people whose TV, broadband and phone I needed to cut off because they hadn't paid their bill. I did this till they got round to automating the process. "dignity of wages"
