if you did not know that the president now has unlimited authority to order the ATF or DHS or the FBI to execute your best friend for any reason and can then order the DOJ not to prosecute then, you can blame every fucking columnist who has written a piece about biden’s age since monday

The electoral problem has become, as the IRA gloated to Thatcher, that the GOP only needs to get lucky once and the Democrats need to be lucky forever. Either they’re going to do something about the court - now, not eventually - or we will simply play iterations of this game until the GOP wins.

I know this is tongue in cheek, but the point is that the limitation is the scope of the office as the Court sees it. within that scope, it’s open season. so under the majority’s logic, for example, there’s really no limit to what the president could use the military for.
