Highly recommend this Maintenance Phase two-parter. Part 2 spends most of the runtime explaining why the Cass Review is so shoddy. Pamela Paul of course doesn't if the work is shoddy since it provides a wedge she can lean on to reinforce the point she wanted to make regardless.

At this point I kinda want to move to the Shire and take up a Hobbit Lifestyle.

Being PoA for a chronically ill disabled family member means getting summoned to the ER at any time. Not complaining, but it colors my experience. I’m always alert for the other shoe to drop. News is unwelcome. Etc.

the unexpected thing about Talking To Your Representatives is that it can actually work, if enough people are similarly mad about the same thing. you won’t get the elected on the phone. but they will hear about it from their annoyed staff, who might not have time to do anything else

Sorry to all my lawyer friends who spent a bunch of time learning how law works in the US. I had friends who were Flash developers and things turned out alright for them after they pivoted to C# or whatever. Hopefully there's an equivalent for our national legal system
