Just a reminder that Michelle Wolf nailed it at the White House Correspondents Dinner. NYT, I’m looking in your direction especially.

This and there would be consequences from voters of color
by choosing anyone other than harris to replace biden should he decide to step aside, the party would be revealing they very cynically chose her as veep for optics without believing she could actually be president.

Heat Advisory in effect, stay hydrated and inside if you can. Thinking at outdoor workers who don't have the right to take a break to drink water or to cool off in a shady place because DeFascist said that this is illegal.

My latest. Project 2025 advances an extreme MAGA agenda that is fiercely isolationist, xenophobic and disdainful of democratic norms. It demonizes intellectuals, dismisses experts and idolizes charismatic strongmen. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/how-...

capitolhunters: To everyone appalled by NYT's July 4 op-ed "Why I don't vote. And maybe you shouldn't either", note that 1) author Matthew Walther DID vote in both 2020 and 2022, and 2) he's an extremist Catholic graduate of Hillsdale College, part of the religious-right faction behind Jan 6. lol💀

The fact that I know more about Joe Biden’s one bad debate night than I do about Donald Trump’s years of raping and sexually assaulting girls within Jeffrey Epstein’s child sex trafficking ring shows exactly what is terribly wrong with today’s political mainstream media.

Why the hell is this not getting traction in the media?!!!
FACT: Donald Trump is in Jeffrey Epstein's newly released appointment logs. FACT: Donald Trump was sued by a woman who claims she was RAPED by Trump when she was a 12-year-old Epstein captive -- but the suit was dropped, 4 DAYS before the 2016 election, because of death threats.

SCOTUS has ruled that presidents are essentially monarchs who can commit crimes, bribery is legal, federal regulatory agencies have no authority to keep us safe, and homeless people can be punished for being homeless. Is it any wonder why public approval of this court is so low?

Judge Luttig: It can never again be said that in America “no man is above the law.” The Supreme Court held today that the President of the United States — and the former president in particular — is above the law, and the only person in America who is above the law.

Here we are in 2024 with the same garbage, pro-Trump coverage from NYT, WaPo, etc.
In 2016, Hillary Clinton gave a speech in Wisconsin about the importance of the Supreme Court. She warned that 2016 was "make or break" for the court—and the country. National media—focused on her emails and Trump's antics—barely covered the speech. www.thenation.com/article/arch...
Hillary Clinton Just Delivered the Strongest Speech of Her Campaign—and the Media Barely Noticedwww.thenation.com Nothing sums up the high-drama, low-substance nature of 2016 race coverage more than the underplaying of a serious speech about the Supreme Court.

Robert’s name should ring with infamy in our written history. Of course, that’s assuming that it is recorded with accuracy. Sadly, I can envision red state American history books whitewashing the damage the Republican SCOTUS has done to our Democracy.
One line from Roberts’s immunity opinion was particularly galling: “Our dissenting colleagues exude an impressive infallibility,” Roberts wrote of Sotomayor, Kagan, and Jackson. Is Roberts not aware of his decision on Monday? Tonight, from @chrisgeidner.bsky.social —>
Roberts's majority backs Trump in finding an expansive presidential immunitywww.lawdork.com Sotomayor's dissent for the liberals warned of her "fear for our democracy."
