One of my greatest fears about the election is that Democrats have no strategy to challenge the courts (SCOTUS, ultimately) if/when they try to steal the election through a much more transparently pretextual Bush v. Gore. Unfortunately, the GOP has invested in the infrastructure to do it (gift 🔗):

In all seriousness: the very idea that someone can take highly classified documents, store them in a public place, defy any number of requests, subpoenas, etc., and then face NO CONSEQUENCES AT ALL is genuinely shocking, and should terrify anyone who cares about national security.

I for one believe a rapist convicted felon hatemonger with a bloody ear deserves all the contempt of a rapist convicted felon hatemonger without a bloody ear, and I believe the American people are smart enough to see Trump the same way today as they did before July 13.

I don't get it. What's the case for defeatism? Do they really think Americans—who very much want the right to abortion, who don't trust rapists & convicted felons, and who find #Project2025 both repugnant & terrifying—will suddenly leap to vote against their values & interests bc someone shot Trump?

When they do cover it they find things like taxes on a household making $100k a year would go up by $2600 and taxes on a household making $5M a year would go down $325k. The kitchen table issues are just mind-bogglingly bent in Biden's favor.
