And the inverse: just finished American Prometheus and learned that the State Department refused to issue passports to people suspected of being Communists, effectively trapping them within the scope of U.S. government control.

i was just going to make a post about this. if trump decides you are an enemy of the state or a “threat to national security” and has you deported, citizenship or not, there’s nothing you can do to get home. he has full legal power to render you stateless.

The electoral problem has become, as the IRA gloated to Thatcher, that the GOP only needs to get lucky once and the Democrats need to be lucky forever. Either they’re going to do something about the court - now, not eventually - or we will simply play iterations of this game until the GOP wins.

I have been saying since February that major media are 100% devoted to But Her Emails 2, but I didnt imagine it would get this bad.
