Reminder for no particular reason that no one knows how this election will turn out, no one can foresee how an event today will impact voters’ choices four months from now, and it is still incumbent on all of us to fight fascism and not acquiesce to doom.

Folks, I may have a PhD in history-including US politics history-but the last several years I’ve been working in public health as a science writer. One of my areas of focus is Aging, including Alzheimer’s and related dementias (AD/RD). I find the discourse around Biden really troubling.

I didn’t watch the debate, and I honestly have no sense of loyalty to Biden. I’m sure the Dems would slot in a younger, otherwise identical candidate. I do, however, have some SERIOUS FUCKING IRE for the fact that we haven’t been seeing these pieces about Trump, who tried to overthrow an election.
