Loving these quotes from Iranians explaining their vote. CC: Americans who think there’s little difference between Biden and Trump.
Whoa.

This is the entire view of the right and one they’re pushing out tons of propaganda about. It’s why we get 10,000 stories of people shoplifting from Walgreens and nothing about tax cheats even though it involves multitudes more money. They want to define crime as existing entirely within the poor
Holy. Shit. They're literally saying Trump's felonies aren't that bad compared to the "real felonies". Bear in mind, they're ignoring J6 and "gimme 12000 votes" call and the stolen docs. We joke, but this is literally Newsmax copy.

Right, if you can't say with your whole chest "Biden is the Democratic Party's nominee for 2024 and until such a time that he steps aside I will support him whole-heartedly", you don't have the strength to actually fight fascism. If you are shitting bricks over 0.3% in the polls you're cooked.

if we’re at “biden must” give a televised speech go on the radio collapse in the polls speak at multiple rallies meet with key dems do a press conference then i think it’s fair to ask what literally all of us are doing here

the courts knocked down his first attempt at student loan relief and he tried again, and again, and again, long after the news cycle had lost interest. he capped insulin prices and said "trans rights" with his full chest. I want to keep moving in this direction.
Just going to put this out there: Biden has been the most legislatively effective president since LBJ. The most pro-labor president WW2. He's done more re climate change than any POTUS. He's built an international coalition for Ukraine despite Russia-fueld GOP opposition. And yeah: he's hella old.

The implicit message I got from this whole news cycle is that many of these reporters think that disabled people don’t belong in public life. Biden’s interviews put a lot of my fears about his candidacy to rest, but it gave me a new one:

This is not the first time I’ve seen this particular group of reporters let their inaccurate knowledge of how specific disabilities function and biases about people with disabilities lead them to poor conclusions at best, rancid bigotry at worst. That affected how seriously I took their reporting.

Everybody needs to see this quote, understand that this is what Project 2025 is about, and internalize the fact that this is what the Republican Party is doing. This is not a conspiracy theory from the left. They are saying it out loud. #politics #news
He literally said that

Let me be clear. In my opinion, John Roberts has joined Roger Taney (Dred Scott - slavery) as a Chief Justice who will be remembered as an evil man. Not just wrong, but worthy of eternal condemnation for trying to destroy the Republic.

The Dobbs decision, now Project 2025. There's more than enough to beat Trump right there, and his campaign staff knows it.
even trump’s campaign staff (i assume he didn’t write this) knows that the reactionary, authoritarian agenda that’s project 2025 is going to be unpopular with the average voter.

I mean, I look at the structural stuff, not the narrative here. The polls have barely moved, Trump has no money, and Biden has a huge war chest and time booked. Why let the panic of a few people- largely driven by people that already don’t like Biden- shape what I’m thinking here?

Since I had such a large sample (nearly a hundred), I analyzed X comments by category. 47% said climate wasn't changing, I was lying, ignorant, or not really a scientist 15% said I was in it for the $ 14% were insults Content warning: Please don't read the fine print if you're sensitive.

Yep. One of the biggest blind spots people have is assuming that underneath, others share the same basic values as them. They have trouble imagining an ideology that is completely misaligned with theirs.
