How soon can we see a few dozen NYT op-eds about this? How soon can we get multiple GOP legislators and donors writing in National Review and The Daily Beast that he needs to step down? Yeah, I know
Remarkable finding in new Marist poll: By 68-32, voters say they're more concerned about a president who doesn't tell the truth than one who is too old to serve. Maybe we should cover Trump's serial lying as a sign of his unfitness for the presidency. 1/ (new piece) newrepublic.com/article/1837...
Shocker Poll Suggests Trump’s Lying May Be Huge Weakness for Himnewrepublic.com One possible reason the polls haven’t moved as much as pundits expected: Voters still don’t like or trust Trump. Can the Democrats shift focus to that?

The way I think of it is: political activism isn't about selecting the best (or even least bad) president. It's about always working to create the conditions under which necessary changes can happen. A Dem administration won't be the change, but it will clearly be a better environment for the change
My Slate essay on why leftists should vote for the Democratic Presidential candidate this November, despite everything:
The Leftist Case for Voting—Yes, Even for Bidenslate.com We need to think about this election differently. Just look at France.

Imagine looking at one million acres of land and pristine fresh water, with no motor vehicles, no development, one of only 13 dark sky sanctuaries in the world and saying…this should be a mine.
Very unfun fact: Project 2025 specifically names Minnesota's Boundary Waters Canoe Area and wants to remove its protected status and open it up to mining. This is the future Donald John Trump wants.

So the more I see of this, the more I respect it. The Cybertruck is so unrelentingly and singularly absurd that the only sane aesthetic response is to heap yet more absurdity on top. This exudes a level of "you're locked in here with me" energy that you don't often get the opportunity to witness.

Yeah because the White House was working on a bill to help those with Parkinson’s disease that was signed this week. This is literal far right disinformation from the New York Times.

Nothing is stopping every single Democratic elected official and apparatchik from taking the airwaves every single day to articulately and decisively repeat a set of cogent talking points about Trump (ie 45). Nothing. Dem PACs could be slamming him with ads now. Stop whining and do that.
