BREAKING NEWS: Voters turned out in numbers not seen in decades to stop the far-right National Rally from taking power in the French National Assembly. Polls predicted a first-place finish for National Rally, which instead came in third in initial results as polling stations closed.

How have we allowed these goofy Coke Freestyle machines to take over? They’re gimmicky, slow, and the drinks don’t even taste as good. The “pour” button is a damn touch screen with noticeable lag, for no good reason!

I’ve got a cold and I’m pretty sure I’d come off badly in a televised debate right now

Holy. Shit. They're literally saying Trump's felonies aren't that bad compared to the "real felonies". Bear in mind, they're ignoring J6 and "gimme 12000 votes" call and the stolen docs. We joke, but this is literally Newsmax copy.

WaPo claims Warner wants Biden out. Now via NYT this gets walked back and Warner is just asking questions ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Senator Mark Warner is working to convene Democratic senators next week to discuss a path forward after President Biden’s debate performance, and to discuss their concerns about him remaining as the nominee, according to people with knowledge about the effort.

Not trying to beat a dead horse, but NYT has allowed this to become 3 days out of date now, missing several Biden appearances. As far as I know, there have been no substantial Trump appearances in that time so the gap has likely widened. Trump's next rally is July 9, 11 days after his last one.
Wouldn't it be hilarious if Biden had done more appearances since the debate than Trump? www.nytimes.com/interactive/... Well looky there, 9 Biden to 6 Trump. 5 of the 6 are (presumably friendly) interviews. Two whole days with nothing. And this is as of yesterday.

what are we doing here? he accidentally said million instead of billion and then immediately knew it and corrected himself. he didn’t “flub a line” and then “make an effort to correct himself,” he did the speaking equivalent of a typo that you know you’ve made and instantly correct

The discourse around biden needing more sleep is fully insane. Does no one remember "Executive Time," the thing Trump spent the majority(!) of his schedule on where he would just watch TV and tweet? Dude was categorically unable to fulfill any of the demands of the office and the press barely cared

2 of the top 3 candidates for the US presidency have shown a repeated willingness to believe any conspiracy dangled in front of them like a set of keys, including wildly anti-american ones, which are straightforward cognitive deficiencies for what we should demand in a president. neither are biden.
i mean, he means he won’t take sides on the “theory” of whether the US government did 9/11 or not, but that doesn’t make this any less insane

Many people are saying that “TRUMP” is running a “Basement Campaign!” Low energy, very sad!

It really is amazing how much visibly this is an elite revolt against Biden. Major donors! East coast pundits! The Disney heiress! The only protestors we can find are in the Hamptons!

Trump, famous for rallies, apparently has nothing to prove and it's fine for him to have whole days go by with no campaign events despite not being president. Biden, the sitting president with official duties, has everything to prove even though he's done more events since the debate.

The Serwer Atlantic piece is a better argument on Biden stepping down than most, but ultimately proves how weak the case is. It leaps from "Biden had a bad debate" to "Biden can't campaign" to "Biden can't do the job." These don't follow!

The 14th Amendment says if you were involved in an insurrection you can't be president. SCOTUS said they won't allow anyone to enforce that because of reasons they made up. The Constitution doesn't say the president is immune from criminal law. SCOTUS decided he is because of reasons they made up.

Biggest campaign story ever: using a private email server that could hold top secrets but doesn’t and could be breached but wasn’t. Tiny story: stealing top secrets. Hiding them in a bathroom. Taking them to NJ. Showing them to foreigners. Meeting with foreign governments.

The only advice I’d give the Biden campaign is to go to war with the NYT. They’re even less popular than Biden or Trump, would form a good rallying cry, and reframes the campaign to be an underdog attempt to push good policy against elites who don’t want it. “NYT is for the billionaires, we’re not.”

This is the opening salvo of their argument for *Biden* to drop out. They’ve never suggested Trump should abandon his campaign.

Justice Jackson's concurring opinion specifically cites documents "relating to the electoral votes," so she, at least, contemplated prosecutions related to those documents on remand.
I mean I’m just talking out my ass here but…the EC votes were threatened by J6 and had to be hastily rushed out of the building, thereby impairing their availability for use in the joint session. Keep ‘em all locked up IMO and give SCOTUS the finger

Final SCOTUS decision today narrows the federal prohibition on obstructing proceedings to only "impairing the availability or integrity for use in an official proceeding of records, documents, objects, or . . . other things." 6-3, CJ Roberts writes. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/23p... (corrected)

The disgraceful thing from last night was the complete lack of discipline from Dem pundits. Trump could have shit his pants and the GOP would have gone on TV right after and said he was clearly better than Biden. Biden has a bad night and the Dems make it worse. It’s horseshit.
