Drove into New Hampshire today, and immediately saw a “Democrats Will Protect Your Reproductive Rights” billboard with an American flag and a bald eagle on it, from the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC). Excellent work. More of that please.

Fascists want you to roll over and not exercise your rights. And one of those rights is to vote. Use it, protect it, fight for it.
So voting is better than *not* voting when it comes to getting what you want? Huh.

one of the most illuminating moments in media was when they decided to stop reporting or asking trump about birtherism - an explicitly racist movement he was the central figurehead of - because he just kept dodging questions about it

The actual parallel between us and France is we have aging populations, anti-immigrant attitudes, an old-age social insurance programs teetering on insolvency. The West’e anxiety about the end of the West is largely about a generation that grew up with it understanding their time is almost up.

really can't get over people thinking we'll have a fair election in 2028 if trump wins this year. the doj will hang no role in enforcing rights if states restrict voting, everyone involved in Jan6 will have been pardoned, and we likely end up with another gop scotus justice by then.

I think billboards highlighting each chapter of Project 2025 placed in specific locations. For example the chapter on gutting military benefits should have billboards on highways near big military bases. Plans for destroying Social Security have billboards all over in Arizona and Florida.

Last Week Tonight made the most important point about Project 2025: it does for the entire administration what the Federalist Society did for his court picks. A Matrix download connecting how MAGA freaks will be efficient enough to execute a 1000-page playbook with Trump’s undeniable harm (Dobbs).

What is the US voting turnout in recent years 40% ? Atrocious. We don't vote for us, we vote for our families and the vulnerable, hoping they're better off than we ever were.
So voting is better than *not* voting when it comes to getting what you want? Huh.

Any Democrat in these states who doesn’t lean on this hard shouldn’t be in office. It’s a gift.
The opting out is especially wild Like, Republican governors are being actively presented with money to feed kids and affirmatively saying 'I would like children to starve actually' (Also, if I'm a Dem campaigner, I'm making some ads and placing some op eds about this immediately)

Things seem bleak but it’s probably a bad sign for Republicans that people have started mentioning their actual goals and political blueprint and their response is “how fucking dare you??”

Dem weirdos dreaming up tournament-style solutions to Joe Biden being the nominee and Catturd-grade reactionary types crying about cheating in the French election have one crucial thing in common, which is that they transparently lack the emotional maturity and patience required to be sports fans.

Biden displays pretty obvious signs of normal aging, and my biggest takeaway from the past week and a half of discourse is that a lot of people will strongarming the family doctor for a fraudulent diagnosis to get a chunk of the estate early.
Maybe people just don’t know what dementia is? When the Dalai Lama did something gross and shocking in full on public, seemingly oblivious to the judgment of others — after which we basically never saw him again — I thought that sounded like actual dementia, but people insisted no!

The story of the French election is not the left compromising to back the center and stop the far right. That's arguably the story of Macron's presidential election, but not this. The story of this parliamentary election is left and center both compromising to stop the far right.

I really wish the left (and I'm a leftist) would really fucking understand that you need to actually build shit from the ground up you need to put in the work. You can't expect shit to just happen. Also you can't expect that a 3rd party Pres would win (or would have meaningful power if they did)
