Watched three minutes of one of these monsters talking and I am just staggered by how normalised the mainstream press coverage is. Party unity! Man of destiny! It's several orders of magnitude beyond 2016.

RNC night two is the replacement theory addition. So far, multiple Senate candidates have used their minutes on stage to promote the white nationalist replacement theory, which has inspired multiple deadly terrorist attacks and is a lie that actively threatens American democracy.

I just want to reiterate- if I was found at home with just one of those files I would be fired and face severe legal consequences. I know this because I literally have to take a training *every year* about handling classified information or I get locked out of my UNCLASS computer.

Free idea for a Dem ad: a series of brief somber interviews with people who worked with classified documents explaining what the consequences would be for the most minor infraction. Then just show these photos

In all seriousness: the very idea that someone can take highly classified documents, store them in a public place, defy any number of requests, subpoenas, etc., and then face NO CONSEQUENCES AT ALL is genuinely shocking, and should terrify anyone who cares about national security.

If someone told you, "Many of America's top reporters spend a lot of their day in a chat room run by a 'great replacement' believing white supremacist and where many posters are Nazis" you'd be alarmed. That's basically the situation now.

I’ve said this a million times, but I’m genuinely frightened about what Musk’s fascist propaganda network is doing to do to our politics. I really wish someone, anyone, would come up with a collective strategy to get journalists, organizers and elected officials off the platform.
