I believe them that they will do this almost immediately upon taking office again. I have lots of questions about what we do on Left(s) about this. Who is working on this now? [I'm sure some groups must be]
Full quote from ex-ICE director Tom Homan: "Trump comes back in January... I will run the biggest deportation force this country has ever seen. They ain’t seen shit yet. Wait until 2025.” Tonight in Florida Trump pledged to bring Homan back. Homan, BTW, is a listed Project 2025 contributor.

the Democratic response to the last time they were completely wiped out in Presidential elections (e.g. Reagan/George H.W. Bush) was to move right with Clintonian triangulation there aren't a lot of things I'm sure of in politics these days, but "Dems will move right if wiped off the map" is one
Just saw someone post that they want Biden to lose by a landslide in order to force the Democratic Party to change What year is it? Because I've seen this same argument against Clinton in 2016 and Gore in 2000 A huge loss WOULD change the party, but probably not in good ways

imagine how much great art could have been created if we took a fraction of the money spent on getting computers to make shitty art and gave it to actual artists

yes, we boiled the planet, but it was worth it to make a machine that, instead of adding two plus two, takes the statistical average of every answer to questions containing "what" "is" "two" and "plus" from a database of illegal cell phone transcripts and returns a fake nude pic of a high schooler

I know they get rolled all the time but for the Times to get rolled by “actually they just want to reclaim the values of Western civilization as they see it … with larger families and fewer immigrants” is the Times putting the 14 words in the paper

If someone's telling me not to vote, I'd like to know their take on actual policies that are at stake in the election. The NYT, apparently, does not think that's relevant.

Not making any threats here, just thinking out loud as a historian — do they people brazenly pushing for impunity for the wealthy elites not know what traditionally comes next?

Something that probably flew under most people's radar, but is kind of a big deal (it allows those veterans to access VA care and disability etc) A very good thing.
Biden pardons veterans convicted under military ban on gay sexwww.bbc.com The announcement, which came during Pride month, will affect thousands of veterans.

Mango is merely the chosen media distracting demagogue - the one job at which he excels. The conservative coup has been in the making for many decades. Today's MAGA carry the torch of the John Birchers. Losing Mango may slow them short-term but it won't stop them.

Biden is not trying any political figures. The DoJ and the states are going after criminal conduct not political rivals. There is a not unsubtle difference.

Over the weekend, one of the major party presidential candidates promoted the idea of trying a former congresswoman for treason with televised military tribunals, and I’ll bet you haven’t seen a news article—much less a catastrophizing op-ed—about it.

For folks not familiar with Dr. Walker: -Only woman recipient of the Medal of Honor -Dressed as illustrated below in a time when that shit got you arrested -Lifelong abolitionist, frontline war surgeon, Civil War P.O.W. -Paid her own way through med school on a teacher's salary (lol can u imagine)
I love non-conforming Victorians and Edwardians as they completely undermine the "all this is modern woke" attack line. Here's my queen of it. Dress reform activist Dr Mary Edwards Walker who said "I don't wear men's clothes: I wear my clothes."

I think it's totally insane that more people don't know about PrEP. The fact that we have a prophylactic medication to prevent HIV is one of the greatest medical achievements of my lifetime. It's hard to explain just how hopeless the fight against AIDS felt in the 80s and 90s.
10 years ago, gay Americans could not get married and have it count in all 50 states 20 years ago, you could be made uninsurable because you got sick once 30 years ago, HIV was a death sentence 40 years ago, acid rain was still a problem Dedicated public servants keep pushing good things forward
