Kind of messed up that canes are the only item for disabled people they put swords inside. They should put swords in closed captioning devices. They should put swords in seeing eye dogs

The entirety of the Americas was full of people before Europeans, whole and rich civilizations with cities and artwork and histories that settlers almost or in some cases completely succeeded in destroying. It’s too great a tragedy to put into words.

For some reason today feels like a great day to remind everyone the US became a country because the founders were tired of dealing with an unaccountable dictator.

This has been movin around the skyline a bit so i wanna be really clear about something: The vast majority of people my brother served with, himself included, were absolutely appalled by what happened with Iraq. They were lied to. They were brainwashed. And when the truth broke through...
Kinda funny, my brother was very conservative before joining the Marine Corps. Two tours in Iraq later, he became much less conswrvative and much more aware of how bad our country sucks. Nowadays, he is a full-blown ally to queer people, massively involved in his local community, etc.

When there's a Dem president liberals are like "the president CAN'T [good thing he campaigned on]." Now the SC is like "the president can do whatever lol [rattles tip jar]" and liberals are still on their "if you expect the president to help anything, you're a child who wants a pony" spiel.

Pretty clear that the Federalist Society project to take over the courts for the far right is the most successful and consequential political effort in history. Only took them a few decades. Meanwhile, Dems are like "Let's not be hasty, blue slips serve an important function in preserving comity."

Pride BEGAN during a time of anti-sodomy laws. The first Pride was a riot against those laws. Pride is celebrated around the world in places where it is much more dangerous to be queer than here. Pride is not dependent on being ALLOWED to be who we are, it’s a promise that we WILL be no matter what
I hope we all enjoyed our last Pride month in the US. Project 2025 will put an end to it

There is no constitutional text that says presidents are immune from all criminal law. Nor was it the intent of the authors of the Constitution or any amendments. It is inconsistent with American precedent and tradition. They just made it up.

reflecting on the immunity decision a bit, what the Court seems to be saying is that every element of the executive branch is at the President’s disposal, no matter what he wants to use it for. his motives don’t matter. the office is a weapon to be wielded however he sees fit.

If there is no penalty for a president, then defense of democracy should occasion a meeting with the CIA and FBI to discuss the Supreme Court's lack of belief in democracy, their willingness to legislate against the Constitution, and the danger their candidate poses to our country.

The 14th Amendment says if you were involved in an insurrection you can't be president. SCOTUS said they won't allow anyone to enforce that because of reasons they made up. The Constitution doesn't say the president is immune from criminal law. SCOTUS decided he is because of reasons they made up.
