I really don’t think most people realize just how hard the boot will come down if Trump and the Republicans win the election. Most people have never experienced the totalitarian surveillance state with the power to reach into their homes and minds at will they are telling us is their plan.
TRUMP: I am going to drop daisy-cutter bombs on Seattle just cuz
BIDEN: I'll have the Bob Salad — ha, COBB Salad, whoops.
NYT: Biden's Gaffe Sends Shockwaves Through Democratic Party; Trump Pledges Infrastructure Changes to Northwest
what are we doing here? he accidentally said million instead of billion and then immediately knew it and corrected himself. he didn’t “flub a line” and then “make an effort to correct himself,” he did the speaking equivalent of a typo that you know you’ve made and instantly correct
As a side note, this is John McEntee, Trump's Director of White House Personnel and the primary architect of Project 2025. On Tik Tok he said he gives counterfeit bills to homeless people so they will be arrested when they go to spend them.
the “some folks just need killing” thing out of north carolina reminds me of a third thing these annoying people are right about: as long as the republican bloodlust grows and their power is unbroken, every election probably will be the most important one of your life
sometimes the most annoying people in politics can be right. the orange man is indeed bad. if you vote, you shouldn’t vote for republicans under any circumstances, which typically leaves one option
Not to be corny but I do think the ongoing aspiration to make America a pluralist democracy of equals is righteous, beautiful, and worth honoring, even if it has more often been the struggle of minorities & dissenters than the policy of the government. 🇺🇸
here’s the fucking enraging thing about this: this is not what the newspapers and the magazines of the world are telling you. it’s not even a partisan thing to call this out. objectively, a second trump term means we all live in a different country than any of us have ever lived in. but, biden old.
there is no fucking “after” if trump wins again. there is america as we know it now, and there is post-america. that’s the choice. you aren’t voting for president, you are voting for the country you have always known, or one you’ve never known.

He's right. They're stealing the country from us and ending democracy. "Bloodless if the left allows it to be" is a threat to kill anyone who fights back
Heritage Foundation president celebrates Supreme Court presidential immunity ruling: "We are in the process of the second American Revolution, which will remain bloodless if the left allows it to be" www.mediamatters.org/project-2025...
Is your job a mess? Did the bear season 3 not fix your soul? Are you in a permanent state of low-level panic attack from watching the end of democracy in real time? Try ordering three sandwiches for lunch. Three sandwiches: the tried and true method for dealing with whatever life throws at you
There's this weird thing happening when someone says "I'm voting for Biden because I want us to still have elections long after he's dead" and people equate that with "Biden is awesome and I agree with his actions regarding Gaza"
ok but seriously nut up. nobody here loves biden. I’d rather vote for a sentient captcha machine that electrocutes my eyeballs every time I tag all the bicycles and it thinks I missed a fuckin train wheel. but that’s what we got and if you want to live in a fantasy I have no time for your ass
frankly, the first defeat that we can hand them, in November, is the easiest possible one we are going to be offered, and we'd be fools not to make it happen.
a thing to remember, in all of this horror, is that these are not the actions of a political party that is confident it represents the will of the people, and who is currently out of power and enslaved to a deeply flawed avatar. the struggle is not over and they have not won
look i'll be clear, I will be voting, and encouraging everyone I know to do the same, against donald trump and the end of democracy in this country in november. I do not care if that means i'm voting for a man who is literally dead.
You see this at the University level constantly; they claim not to have money to fund programs that might actually help students but there’s always $100m for the absolute dumbest shit you’ve ever heard of and when it inevitably fails they’re like welp better close the classics department
God Bless Paul Davies and the @PhillyInquirer: "The only person who should withdraw from the race is Trump...There was only one person at the debate who does not deserve to be running for president. The sooner Trump exits the stage, the better off the country will be."
Now, ALL OF THAT SAID, let's not pretend like it's even a question when the choice is "Elderly feeb surrounded by semi-competent people" vs "Evil fuck surrounded by evils fucks"
Biden is too old. But he has surrounded himself with competent people and has had a conventional first term.
Trump is authoritarian but inept. He has surrounded himself with people he hopes will make him more effective at authoritarianism.
Neither is ideal. But these are not similar problems.
Logged in here and holy shit I need democrats to have less shame and more composure
like hell yeah it’s Weekend at Bernie’s and we’re gonna run the shit out of our dead President WATCH HIM WAVE
