I think Michael Flynn would've been worse

I described it as "guy who is embezzling hundreds of thousands of dollars a week before he gets FBI agents as his door energy" but I think I like your description better

i keep seeing videos of people acting shitty in public where a top comment is something like “wonder who they voted for 🙄.” i honestly think a winning message for Dems is just “aren’t you sick of these fucking people”

God this is going to look ugly when this all burns out

Ngl I think a lot of them want him to tweet at them like Trump did

A lot of these folks spent like 5 months constantly looking at what were essentially gore videos. That's gonna fuck with your brain even when you stop.

I know you're taking the piss but for many of these people keeping Gaza centered was much more about trying to hold together a fraying coalition than it was anything sincerely held. But even cynicism that brazen cannot stand up to the topic de jour on twitter given how online they are.
Avatar
That's what's been shocking me about the last few years. I don't really have an explanation for why people don't know what "burning bridges" looks like anymore. I've been kinda throwing my hands up and saying that social media is to blame. But I'm not even sure of that.

She got courted by some of the overly online people in Hillary's team in 2016 and wasn't given that same treatment in 2020. These things may be related to her present coverage.

I suspect everybody in the Twitter bubble is frantically clicking on all of these articles for 10+ hours a day.

I had somebody tell me that "If a credible Democrat thought they could win the primary, they would've run" was circular logic

it's generally not productive to argue with someone's untreated major depression.

What you're actually hearing is "Oh god did we burn a bridge with somebody who isn't going away"

Fwiw from a white dude, the people who don't use washcloths or wash their legs tend to just be from households where people were kinda nasty. Like they wouldn't meet the cleanliness standards of anybody I am related to by blood or marriage.

I think everybody has had like emergency trash can moments for kids, and I can remember an old large pan being used for a really bad stomach bug when I was 6ish. But the pan got thrown out after I actually threw up into it. The idea of a "vomit bowl" is bizarre to me.

Wow. @nytimes.com has closed their Threads account and left the platform after days of getting just shredded in the replies for their handling of Biden post debate. Now they're getting dog piled on Instagram for running from Threads.

There's extreme incentive on the part of any doctor to overplay any signs of aging to be signs of something worse. They'd get so many appearances, book deals, etc.

Dem weirdos dreaming up tournament-style solutions to Joe Biden being the nominee and Catturd-grade reactionary types crying about cheating in the French election have one crucial thing in common, which is that they transparently lack the emotional maturity and patience required to be sports fans.
Avatar
They will if people stop giving them attention, clicks and engagement
Avatar
That makes sense. Only reason my prude ass even started to hear about it is those people eventually end up in general LGBT circles and it causes issues.
Avatar
Oh okay then it wasn't only my city where that started happening. Disturbing
Avatar
You have to assume at least one out of every three disturbed people you've ever seen on social media has or will have a child and extrapolate from there.
Avatar
Something social media never takes into account is that you can lose *all* credibility within a day in worst case scenarios. When people at my job panic under minimal pressure and start giving me bad information, I no longer seek them out for accurate info and work around them.
Avatar
You can do this to yourself very easily, especially if you don't have monetary incentives not to do it. It's why it's important to always remember that anything you make that people can pay you money for is a business and you have to treat it as such
Avatar
Because if your business plan is "ride a wave of something that got memed into existence on 2 or so social media platforms" then congrats your business plan is the same as every Web3 or AI startup that has tried to hire me in the last 2 years.
Avatar
What I can gather is that people are aware that some kind of panic is happening but as it continues they tune it out. Panic for one day can be seen as cause for concern. Panic for weeks gets categorized as "Ahh so these are crazy people"

This guy was such a G for telling his evil wizard cyborg boss that his religion is bullshit during a work meeting.

I don't think anybody here is really having debate. One side is engaging in political conversation and the other is having a rolling, destructive tantrum.

I just want to save this series of tweets for posterity. Hopefully, we’ll have a chance to go back over what’s going on here when tempers have cooled.
