Just to be really explicit about what’s happening here, the cover conflates age, physical disability, and cognitive disability, and goes on to conflate disability with unfitness for office. It’s utter bullshit.
IMO this is a straight-up ageist and ableist image, no?

I can buy that Trumps brain hasn’t retained the specific phrase “Project 2025” because he didnt come up with the name and so doesnt care about it, and he’s never cared about details unless they happen to touch on one of his bugbears. He just demanded a way to ensure loyalty, and they gave him one

Trump has never had a speech impediment, and if you read a transcript of his speeches, they make very little sense, if any. It is apparently elitist to point this out, because "his supporters know what he's saying." When you read what he says, this is basically advancing Trump as telepath.
I mean, Trump rambles on about sharks, batteries, and racism -- and was twice impeached and convicted of 34 felonies -- yet very few are asking him to drop out. 🤷🏽‍♂️

My personal feeling is that in cases of sexual assault "I'm going to wait to see what else develops" is a fine, but if you loudly announce that what you're seeing is inadequate and not enough and should not be believed by anyone, that's not waiting to see what else develops.

The Post merely reports that Biden holds a rally, not that he was powerful, strong, and defiant against the newspapers baying for his head. Then they put a stripe above the story with a call for him to resign. Their agenda is clear. This is a newspaper now run by Murdochians.

The President declares forcefully that he is staying in the race. The Post leads with another attempt to behead him and puts the candidate's declaration in tiny type. This is not news judgment. This is an agenda. It is a newspaper now run by Murdochians. The Post, too, is broken.

Now everyone--The Times and, sorry to say, MSNBC--is noting every missed syllable. The man has a stutter. I don't stutter but I am a mushmouth who speaks too fast and slurs words. I've had to overcome fear of public speaking. I have empathy for Biden. The press has empathy for no one (but Trump).

I watched a debate that had a bad performance by the better candidate for 21 min followed by an hour of the other guy being deranged. Trump has been quiet all week. What does that tell you about the effects of the debate?

Istg Biden better mock the shit out of this “is he too old” thing and then crack a couple Biden-y jokes cause that’s the only way we’re calming shit.

Anywho, show up every day to do what you can with others and make sure that you're attending to people's material needs while doing so. That basic political engagement will put you in good stead. The rest is noise.

Im sorry but what’s even the scoop here? This reads like some staffer mad they lost the latest round of court intrigue despite all protests to the contrary. Its a pile of innuendo that seems to stem from the staffer’s fundamental concern that they’re not getting enough gold stars

Hey NYT, we're gonna need seven consecutive stories about how this disqualifies the coup-attempting felon from the presidency, if you can pry anyone off the measuring-Biden-for-his-casket beat.
Looks like something useful is happening on the Nazi site - this court document about Donald Trump’s involvement in the Epstein case is going viral This is a disgusting read

Just like none of the bold investigators backfilling Joe Biden's feeble debate performance with punchy anonymous quotes have ever figured out why Trump was rushed to Walter Reed, claimed he wanted a spur-of-the-moment weekend checkup, and a year later declared that he had NOT had a series of strokes
"Executive Time" fell out of the coverage of Donald Trump in the most incredible way. Nobody writing about his quest to become president again ever mentions the fact that he hated the job when he had it and he couldn't and wouldn't really do it!

I'm convinced that if you "Tag in" Kamala she gets max one positive news cycle & then they tear into her, whining how much better a different candidate would be, meaning you lose incumbency and gain nothing. Given that they're already ragging on her, one positive cycle seems like wishful thinking.

do we think this guy from New Jersey would have driven his pickup truck to Manhattan to get drunk had there been a $15 congestion pricing fee in place?
