Musk is subsidized heavily by US taxpayers and in return he has committed rampant fraud, platformed and supported Neo Nazis and is now suggesting executing Americans.
I think this is the first time Musk has suggested fellow Americans should be executed.

reminded of a scene from Terry Pratchett's Going Postal
A hill I will die on: all white-collar crimes are violent crimes. It's just that the violence is removed from the perpetrator because the perpetrator is wealthy.

Just like none of the bold investigators backfilling Joe Biden's feeble debate performance with punchy anonymous quotes have ever figured out why Trump was rushed to Walter Reed, claimed he wanted a spur-of-the-moment weekend checkup, and a year later declared that he had NOT had a series of strokes
"Executive Time" fell out of the coverage of Donald Trump in the most incredible way. Nobody writing about his quest to become president again ever mentions the fact that he hated the job when he had it and he couldn't and wouldn't really do it!

Lmao they just changed the title of the piece from “Why I don’t vote” to “Why I won’t vote” rather than tell readers that the guy actually does vote

1. The guy who wrote the "don't vote" essay says we're obligated as Americans to root for the Michigan Wolverines www.nytimes.com/2022/12/08/o... 2. he lives in 3 Rivers, MI & says your vote doesn't matter "even in municipal races." I found EIGHT elections in the past 10y decided by 1 vote there

Why I Don't Vote (OK, I Do Vote, but I Would Like to Discourage You, NY Times Reader, For Doing So For Some Reason) Via @bubbaprog.ilovecitr.us
Man, if it turns out that the right winger telling NY Times readers that they should follow his example and not vote did in fact vote in the last two elections, the Times should add this to the piece. Better than a retraction, since it illustrates a willful hypocrisy.

The short version is: if you're building fueling stations in order to be in the actual fueling business, you're not gonna make it. Until we see more EV chargers subsidized by other, more profitable businesses, the economics are unlikely to justify the kind of investment in build-out we need to see.

I know everyone says "their reporters do great work" and that's true, but over the course of my life, the New York Times has institutionally had multiple points at which it was important to choose "be evil" or do the right thing and they've fucked it hard every time

The United States has always been a democracy for some and a brutal authoritarian regime for others, and the effort to expand it to democracy for all has led to a 70+ year backlash culminating in SCOTUS claiming that kings are totes cool and also judges are the ones to coronate them

So we're all agreed that ammosexuals, NWO conspiracy chuds, and Republicans doing the Real Patriot™ schtick get made fun of extra belligerently now, correct? Like just straight up blown off and mocked mercilessly when they try their "I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees" shit.
