This isn’t cat related, sorry, but I’m so excited that the trilliums are blooming. I am crazy about spring wildflowers, the trilliums are my favorite, and I know a spot where there are THOUSANDS of white ones. It’s hard to capture in photos but it’s just so beautiful.

Female golden dung fly. These conspicuous flies are common in the US, but I haven't seen them in my yard before. I wonder if the compost is attracting them. This one was hunting fruit flies and had a couple of near-catches while I watched. #InverteFest #insects

So my trip this week was to engage with a uni lab that gets undergraduates involved in research about heat - including stuff that actually gets into policy briefings and news coverage. Can confirm that 20 year olds are VERY motivated to talk & work & vote on these issues, in California at least...
